| Brocade's chassis-based BigIron family of Layer 3 Backbone Switches for the campus, MAN and LAN environments delivers up to 3.84 Terabits per second of backplane switching capacity, dramatically reducing network bottlenecks with wire-speed IP routing. With this capacity, the BigIron RX Series scales to support 192 separate 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports in a single 7 foot rack. The entire BigIron family scales to easily handle several hundred non-blocking Gigabit Ethernet ports at a peak performance of up to 1.14 Billion packets per second-delivering greater performance than competitive switches and routers at a much lower price. |
