overview

The Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) required a robust network infrastructure to connect various locations across five districts: Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, East Godavari and West Godavari. The objective was to deploy a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network to ensure high-speed and redundant connectivity across critical operational locations.
MRO-TEK was awarded the MPLS_VPN WAN Project for APEPDCL. The project involved deploying a secure and scalable network across 185 locations to improve connectivity and operational efficiency. As an empaneled National System Integrator with BSNL, we have successfully executed multiple turnkey projects PAN India.

Scope of Work

The project involved the supply, installation, integration, commissioning and maintenance of essential networking components including:

  • Routers, modems, RF equipment, media converters, UPS systems, switches, patch cords, and racks.
  • Network Management System (NMS) software for real-time monitoring and control of MPLS circuits.
  • Implementation of connectivity solutions at 185 locations, ensuring redundancy at 46 critical sites.
  • Provision of dual redundancy paths using Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) for primary connectivity and Radio Frequency (RF) or Copper for secondary connections.
Technical Requirements
  • Bandwidth Allocation ranging from 512 Kbps to 100 Mbps.
  • Network Redundancy:
  • 46 locations required dual-redundant links.
  • 93 locations operated with non-redundant links.
