Leads test strategy and quality assurance across routing, the Linux OS platform, and security subsystems of our network operating system.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect the test framework for routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, SR), Linux OS platform, management systems, and security subsystems
- Design test strategy across integration, system, regression, performance, and scalability testing, with defined RFC/IEEE conformance coverage
- Architect the test automation framework with CI/CD integration for continuous testing and quality gates
- Build protocol conformance and interoperability test suites, and traffic generation/analysis systems (Ixia, Spirent, TRex, Scapy)
- Lead RFC conformance and interoperability testing, performance benchmarking, scalability and chaos-engineering testing, and security posture validation
- Mentor QA engineers, run test plan/case reviews, and establish quality gates and release criteria
Requirements
- 7+ years in software testing, with 5+ years focused on network operating system or network equipment testing
- Expert knowledge of routing protocol testing (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, L3VPN, EVPN, Segment Routing)
- Expert knowledge of test automation frameworks (Python, Robot Framework, pytest) with hands-on test development experience
- Production experience designing and implementing test infrastructure for carrier-grade network equipment or NOS platforms
Nice to Have
- Experience with carrier-grade network equipment testing and certification (carrier acceptance, interoperability labs)
- Security testing certifications (CEH, OSCP, GPEN) or equivalent hands-on expertise
- Experience with chaos engineering and fault injection frameworks
