Mr. Aniruddha Bhanuprasad Mehta, a born entrepreneur and visionary leader, has been the iconic figure and driving force behind the success of the Umiya Group. A graduate from Mumbai, his keen business acumen was honed while working with his uncle, who ran a public limited company, and his grandfather, in the Clearing & Freight Forwarding business. An opportunity on a business trip established him in Bangalore, where a small upmarket residential project saw the birth of Umiya in 2000. The success of his initial residential projects gave him the confidence to expand beyond Bangalore, setting up business in Goa in 2007, and he now pilots the group's continued growth and expansion.
Mrs. Gauri Aniruddha Mehta, born in a business family, is a landscape architect by passion with vast design experience. Her in-depth understanding of the integral relation between architecture and engineering, while meeting client requirements, enables Umiya Group to provide optimal solutions for each project. She brings standard project management principles and practices on board to ensure excellence in project design and delivery.
Mr. Sudhir Hasija, Chairman of UTL Group and Karbonn, is a first-generation entrepreneur. UTL Group is a multi-division telecom group headquartered in Bangalore with an annual turnover of Rs 2,400 crore and 850+ employees — a leading Indian telecom powerhouse spanning manufacturing, services, and distribution: a leading supplier of landline telephones and electronic exchanges in India and of telecom equipment to cellular operators; building and operating state-wide area networks for several state governments; and closely linked with the mobile phone revolution in the country, having promoted JTM (erstwhile mobile operator for Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Punjab) and represented brands like Alcatel, Nokia, Samsung, and Virgin as a regional or national distribution partner.
Dr. Raghu Nambiar is a dynamic professional with more than 35 years of in-depth, multi-dimensional experience — entrepreneurial and otherwise — across large business undertakings, mid-sized pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, continuous-process industry with foreign collaborations, global product manufacturing, and healthcare companies. His research experience includes developing algorithms for an image-processing library and new algorithms for multimodal optimization problems combining stochastic learning automata, genetic algorithms, and simulated annealing. He co-authored "Learning Algorithms: Theory and Applications in Signal Processing, Control and Communications" (Phil Mars, J.R. Chen, and Raghu Nambiar; CRC Press, 1996).
Mr. H S Venkatesh is a dynamic Chartered Accountancy professional with more than 35 years of experience in finance, payables, receivables, funds management, and statutory compliance. He additionally brings more than 16 years of experience in audit — statutory, internal, and risk assurance audits and reporting directly to management — including cash flow management under financial stress.
Mrs. Nicola Neeladri is an internationally trained and certified, highly skilled professional with 10 years of experience in the beauty industry. Her career as a freelance makeup artist includes print and runway work with professional models, designers, photographers, and celebrities. She also has extensive experience in business administration.
Mrs. Neela Manjunath is a retired IAS officer who served as KAS (Batch 1990) and IAS (Batch 2003, Karnataka Cadre) for 31 years, retiring in the rank of Secretary to State. She was Managing Director of Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation, Karnataka, from 2015 to 2021.
